I ahve not been blogging for quite a while now, and what can be a more interesting way to start blogging again (in my own terms), than to talk about football.
Haha. Yeah, I screamed and sang my heart out (sighz, i don't normally do that) throughout the whole afternoon till night! Special mention to some players...
Jamie Carragher: My all-time hero! Why do I like him? Dependable, reliable, responsible, unstoppable. Need I say more? Well, wait till I get to Anfield to meet him!!
Dirk Kuyt: The forever hardworking guy, he really likes to run and get into the thick of things! He is really that little bright spark that keeps going and going and going and going....
Daniel Agger: He has got awfully long legs that had to dangle over the seat in front when he was sitting out at the bench before the match started. Hope he keeps playing well and establish the force I would call "Carra-Agger" of defence....
Fernando Torres: El Nino. Top class striker.
Kristian Nemeth: He keeps that up, and he might give Torres a run for his money!!
Albert Riera: Seriously, the pitch got livelier when both Kuyt and Riera came on. Now that's football man!
Javier Mascherano: I'm half-half on this one though. Haha. Well, yes, I do agree that not try to shoot on goal, but hey, I think he's the 3rd great MF we have now.
Xabi Alonso: I feel a bit sad looking at this once gorgeous clean-cut footballer looking a bit gruff and tired recently. I have a feeling that he has too many things on his mind (with the stoopid real madrid deal and stuff), which thankfully didn't affect his performance that much last night, but there was some sort of 'heaviness' surrounding him.... Perhaps he's really leaving? Which is really a very heart-wrenching news any Livvy supporters would have to endure if the deal is sealed...
Reina: Oh, this guy, was having a very lonely time in front of his goal. Seriously.
Stevie G wasn't all terribly missed actually, for the fact that the other boys made up for his absence.
But yes, not forgetting the local lads for putting up a good fight in the first half (after which the on-going substitutions made everything go downhill); frankly speaking, perhaps the Lions may have had a better chance against Livvy reserves judging from how the first half turned out (well, the first team Livvy players are world-class, you know). But well, it's all a friendly, and the experience was what counted the most (and of course to Livvy fans, seeing stars in the flesh).
Everyone wins in the end.
